TDOA Estimation in the Distributed Multi-Antenna System

摘要 在分布式多天线系统架构下提出一种估计到达时间差(TDOA)的新方法.利用分布式多天线系统的特性,通过构造具有良好自相关性的正交训练序列,将传统的TDOA测量问题转化为多径信号中首先到达径(FAP)的时延估计.数值仿真表明,与传统基于定时同步的TDOA估计方法相比,此方法能在无线多径传播环境中将非视距(NLOS)误差降低65%左右,显著提高了TDOA的估计精度. Based on distributed multi-antenna system, a new method for time difference of arrival (TDOA) estimation in multipath environment is proposed. By utilizing advantages of distributed multi-antenna system, the traditional TDOA measurement is converted into the time delay estimation of the first arrival path (FAP) by constructing orthogonal training sequences. Comparing with the nonline-of-sight (NLOS) error induced by traditional timing and synchronization method, numerical simulations are carried out and the results show that the NLOS error imposed on the TDOA estimation can be reduced by 65 % with the method proposed. Therefore, the TDOA estimation accuracy can be significantly enhanced.
