试述清代前期苏州浒墅关的商品流通

Circulation of Goods through Suzhou Xushuguan in Early Qing Dynasty

苏州发达的运河航运及其本身所具有的手工业和商业城市的地位,为清代浒墅关的设置提供了有利条件。大量的关系国计民生的商品,经过浒墅关中转到全国各地,推动了不同经济区域之间的商品交流,苏州也由此成为清代前期运河沿线乃至全国最主要的商品流通枢纽之一。但是乾嘉之际,经过浒墅关中转的商品尤其是粮食商品的减少,使区域之间的商品交流受到限制,这一定程度上影响了苏州和江南地区经济的近代转型。

Highly developed in its canal transportation system, handcraft industry and commerce, Suzhou was well equipped for the setup of the Xushu pass. I.arge amounts of goods important to people＇s sustenance passed Xushuguan and were transferred to far reaches of the country, promoting the exchange of goods among different economic zones. Suzhou, thus, became one of the most important linchpins for circulation of goods along the canal or even in the whole country in the early Qing dynasty. During the Qian-jia administration, however, goods that passed the Xushuguan, especially food products, dwindled, and thus restricted the exchange of goods among different areas and, to some extent, affected the contemporary economic transition in both Suzhou and other areas to the south of the Yangtze river.
