Zhou Zuoren's Unofficial Position and His Structure of Modern Literature

清末民初以来,民间文学被知识分子当作文化改良和文学变革的资源。周作人以民俗学方法入手,对民间文学有着独特的认知与论述。本文通过考察五四后周作人民众认同的转移及其对各种民众文学形态的评判,考察他的民间立场与新文学建构的关系,并由此呈现其身份认同的独特性和思想心态的复杂性。

Since the late of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of Republic of China, folk literature was regarded as a source of literary improvement and reform by intellectuals. Starting with the method of folklore, Zhou Zuoren had a particular cognition and explanation on folk literature, Through studying the change of Zhou Zuoren＇ s identification on folk writers and his criticisms of folk literature, the article was a review on the relationship between his unofficial position and the structure of modern literature, in order to reveal the uniqueness in identifying his position and the complexity of his thoughts.
