An introduction is given to the model "three kinds of management": goal management, procedure management and standard management. Then, it is pointed out that they are beneficial for downhole operation management. Meanwhile, the explanation is made about how to put three kinds of management into the practice, thus expecting "three kinds of management" to bring considerable economic and social benefits.
