英语同形介词和副词认知差异及教学启示

摘要 区分英语动词短语中动词后的介词和副词的词性有助于帮助成教学生掌握和记忆英语动词短语的意义及句法使用特征。本文运用认知语法的"射体和界标"理论及范畴理论重点探讨了英语同形近义的介词和副词的认知差异及联系。研究发现:多数表方位意义的非复合词形的介词可以省略界标,担任副词;可以省略界标的方位介词都是常用的基本词汇,与人类的基本空间经验有关,属基本范畴成员。 The identification between English prepositions and adverbs helps English learners to comprehend and memorize the semantic and syntactic features of English phrasal verbs. This paper studies the cognitive differences and similarities of English prepositions and adverbs that share the same form within the framework of "trajector and landmark" and cognitive category. The findings of this study are. (1) most spacious prepositions can be used with sub-lexical landmarks and they are called adverbs in traditional grammar; (2) frequently used in daily communication, the propositions with sub-fexicaf landmarks are closely related to human beings' spacious experiences and belong to the basic category.
