There is a paragraph in the Vol. 5 of the Bamboo Slips Collected in Shanghai Museum, which rose a keen discussion in the academic field. The experts had different ideas on the comprehension to the paragraph. According to the recordation of Shudiao’s castration and Yiya’s giving his son to other people for eating, some scholars thought the paragraph was concerned with Shudiao. The present article agrees with the suggestion after combing these various opinions. From the view of Chinese ancient phonetics, "guiyin" was pronounced as "kuiyin (■朘)" which means castrating. Bases on such comprehension, the author takes the word as a proper noun for young man’s genitalia during the period of the Warring States, but later, it fell to disuse.
