Ronald Dworkin's Concept of Democracy

民主是现代国家普遍选择的政治制度,但民主的多数统治原则对少数人权利的侵犯而引发多数暴政的危险也可能对民主自身造成损害,从而妨碍政治平等的实现。德沃金的政治平等理论否定多数至上主义的合法性,提出真正实现平等关切的民主应是合宪性的民主和依赖式的民主,德沃金给多数至上民主的替代方案是合伙制民主。

Democracy has been universally adopted as the political system by the modern countries. But if the majority governing principal had infringed the right of the minority, it would bring the danger of causing much tyranny. The danger also will probably bring some damage to the democracy itself and impede the achievement of political equality thereby. Ronald Dworkin＇s theory of political equality had negated most of the legitimacy of paramounty and proposed that the democracy which really achieves equal concern should be constitutional and dependent. Ronald Dworkin had proposed the joint democracy to replace most of the paramount democracy.
