和谐社会既是一种理想的社会模式,又是一种先进的意识形态,还是一种现实的社会活动。构建社会主义和谐社会是对理想社会的追求,是庞大的系统工程。必须有雄厚的物质基础、健全的民主基础、繁荣的文化基础和美好的环境基础。必须高度重视和把握实现和谐社会的力量之源,这主要是理论来源、知识来源、自身来源和主体来源。联系我国社会的现状,坚持系统辩证地观察,分析和思考问题和进行实践是十分重要和紧迫的。

Harmonious society is a kind of ideal social mode, advanced ideology, and realistic social activity. Establishing socialistic harmonious society is a pursuit of ideal society and a huge system engineering. It is very es- sential to have strong material foundation, sound democracy foundation, prosperous cultural foundation and fine en- vironment foundation. We should attach great importance and grasp the source of strength of establishing a harmoni- ous society. That is mainly the theories source, knowledge source, self- source and subject -source. Observing, analyzing and considering problem systematically and dialectically combining with the present condition of our socie- ty, is very important and urgent.
