The two heroes in The Great Gatsby and Death of a Salesman are attracted by the beautiful temptations： ＂If working hard, everyone has opportunities to succeed; and everyone can make a great fortune. ＂Through the analysis of the disillusionment of their dreams , the key point illustrates that in the capitalist society of demoralization and abiding by the law of the jungle, the fate of the ordinary people is similar, namely, the different pursuit, the same tragedy.
