Discussion on the Relations between Urban Renewal and the Protection of Historical Relics and Sites——Taking the Inner Area of Qinhuai River in Nanjing as an Example

历史文物古迹的保护与城市更新二者之间的关系错综复杂,涉及到经济、社会、历史和文化等各个方面。该文着重从保护的角度来探讨历史文物古迹的保护与城市的更新。以南京内秦淮地区为例,通过对该地区的历史文物古迹调查,研究城市更新过程中,对历史文物古迹的保护与破坏情况,找出城市更新与文物古迹保护的关系。目的就是探讨出在城市更新过程中如何更好地保护历史文物古迹,延续城市自身的特色。

It is complex that the relations between urban renewal and the protection of historical relics and sites, involving economic, social, history, culture, etc. This article discusses the two topics from the viewpoint of protection. Taking the inner area of QinHuai River in Nanjing as an example, through the investigation of local historical relics and sites, the author researches their protection and destruction status in the urban renewal, and discovered their relations, for the purpose to find out how to protect historical relics and sites better, and to continue city characteristics.
