The paper introduces Yang＇s House remaking project in Tianjin old city. This project remakes the traditional courtyard to be a contemporary deluxe community center by positive attitude. The concept is respecting the history but not being limited by traditional form. We try to help traditional buildings to find the identification and vitality in new period to study out a new model of the conservation and reuse of historic buildings.
