摘要
为了实现金属标牌刻蚀字符的识别,在分析标牌字符结构特点的基础上提取字符图像中的端点,三叉点和四叉点,然后提取三叉点的位置,制作成模板,用于字符的粗分类,进而利用笔画长度等信息进行细分类。为了解决字符断裂的问题,提出了一种端点反向生长算法,利用字符的端点进行反向生长,较好地解决了断裂对识别的影响。利用上述结构特征对标牌上的激光刻蚀英文和数字字符进行了识别,取得了较好的效果,表明这些结构特征非常适用于该类字符的识别。
In order to recognize the characters etched on the metal label, the structural properties of alphabetic and digital characters on the metal label are analyzed in detail and then the endings,three crossing points,four crossing points and the positions of the three crossing points are extracted at last, templates made by those positions are used for character coarse classification. Minutiae features such as the length of strokes are used for character precise classification. In order to solve the effects caused by the character's rupture, a new character rebuilding algorithm based on backweard growth of the ending points is presented. The recognition of the alphabetic and digital characters on the metal label is carried out,and it is shown that the proposed structural features have good discrimination power of similar characters and can be used for fast classification and recognition of etched characters on metal label.
