新民主主义革命时期,中国共产党在延安创办了10多所干部学校,其中的延安大学及其前身院校改变旧制度、旧课程,实行新制度、新课程,培养了大批革命干部,为抗日战争和解放战争的胜利做出了重要贡献,也为建国后的高等教育积累了宝贵的经验。延安大学之所以能够在极端困难的条件下坚持办学并且取得巨大成绩,原因是在中共中央西北局和陕甘宁边区政府的直接领导下,制定了正确的教育方针,采取了正确的教学方法,走出了切合自身发展的办学道路。

In the period of the New Democratic Revolution of China, the CCP had founded more than 10 cadre schools in Yanan, which included Yanan University. Yanan University and its predecessor colleges and universities changed the old system, the old curriculum, practiced the new system, the new curriculum, and trained the large quantities of revolutionary cadres, made the important contribution to the Sino - Japanese War and the war of libera- tion victory, also accumulated the precious experience after the founding of the nation higher education. The reason Yanan University run a school and obtained the huge result under the extreme difficult condition is that under the Central Committee of the CCP northwest party bureau and the Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia border region government＇s direct leadership, Yanan University had formulated the correct educational policy, had adopted the correct teaching method, and had suited own developing path of school.
