An Analysis on the Functions and Forms of Design

设计作为为人造物的艺术,是为人的设计,目的是满足人的需求。设计产品的形式与功能是互为一体、相辅相成的。在历史发展的不同时期,市场规律影响着形式与功能之间的主次关系。在处理功能和形式的关系时,应该把注重人的价值放在首位,以求最终达到人——物——环境的和谐境界。

Design is an artificial art which is to fulfill human needs, the functions and forms of design are supplements for each other, the relationship between them is affected by market rules at the different stages in history. We should put the values of human beings at the first place in dealing with the relationship between forms and functions of design so as to get human being- production-surroundings harmonious.
