摘要
英语语料库根据其库容量、检索系统和标识体系的发展可分为三个时期：手工语料库、计算机化的语料库和新一代语料库。笔者对语料库语言学的发展阶段、不同类型语料库的用途、计算机语料库的发展方向等进行了总结与评述。并结合国内英语学习者语料库建立的情况，对有代表性的语料库给予了相应的评价，同时对国内外语料库的发展趋势进行了分析与展望。
The development of English Corpora, in accordance with the advancement of retrieval modal and tagging system and size,is classified into three stages： pre-computer stage, computerized stage and corpora of new generation. Stages of development, characteristics of dif- ferent types of corpora and trend of corpora development are summarized and elaborated in the paper. On this basis, the designing, annotating and using of typical Chinese-built-up English corpora is discussed and analyzed in detail and in retrospect.
