此间庭园别墅是上海浦东地区一系列奢华别墅的样板房。设计概念是创造出与建筑互相辉映的室内环境，并在现代风格中融合传统艺术和中国文化。
The villa, designed as a modern interpretation of a courtyard house, was to be a show house for a series of new luxury homes in the Pudong district of Shanghai. The brief was to create an interior that would enhance the architecture and to showcase art pieces and Chinese culture within a contemporary environment.
