由欧博迈亚设计，并于2001年投入使用的沈阳桃仙国际机场一号航站楼达到了年旅客吞吐量600万人次的能力。根据原来的规划，到2010年最终将形成年旅客吞吐量1100万人至1200万人次的规模。1998年所建老航站楼也将根据规划在机场达到最终规模时被拆除。近年来在全球范围内，尽管受到“9．11”事件的影响，航空业还在大步推进，在沈阳也面临着同样的大发展.
The Shenyang Taoxian international Airport which was designed by OBERMEYER and put into use in 2001 has reached a annual passenger dispatch capacity of about 6 million. According to the future plan it will get to 11 to 12 millions until 2010. The old terminal built in 1998 will be removed when the ultimate dimension is reached. The air travel service has progressed in great steps despite the 911 terror globally. In Shenyang it is the same situation.
