在过去的10年中,我们已经见证了香港大量的城市更新项目。在市区重建局与香港住房协会,房屋委员会和私营房地产开发商的共同推行之下,许多街区和(文物)建筑面临潜在的清拆或“恶劣的再生”的危机。在以下的案例中,我们可以看到政府机构和市民协商的方式,有时通过理智的公众的耐心(如蓝屋),有时通过温和的暴力(如天星码头和皇后码头),拒绝和抵抗似乎仍是我们的主导方式。政府还没有提出一个新的文物保护政策,不仅是保护建筑遗产和相应的历史类型,同时也是保护我们的生活传统。
Over the past ten years, we have witnessed massive urban renewal projects in Hong Kong. Implemented by the Urban Renewal Authority together with the Hong Kong Housing Association, Housing Authority and private property developers, many districts and buildings (of heritage Value) are facing potential demolition or “bad-re-generation”.
