摘要
布鲁克林植物园于1914年建立了儿童园,这个项目一直到现在还在运行。描述了儿童园的历史、组织体系和空间设计,分析了项目为生活在都市中3～13岁儿童提供圃地培养蔬菜和花卉所取得的长期成果,还介绍了新建的探索园,这是专为幼儿设计的对植物进行探索和游玩的区域。
Brooklyn Botanic Garden established its Children＇s Garden in 1914, and the program is still running today. This paper describes the history and strudure of the program, as well as the physical layout of the space. It also examines long term outcomes of this oppodunity for urban children, ages 3-13, to raise vegetables and flowers in their own garden plots. The newer Discovery Garden, an area landscaped for young children to explore and play among plants, is also described.
