The Present Situation and Meaning of Constructing an Economical Society

自然资源是人类赖以生存和发展的基础,是经济社会可持续发展的物质保障。加快建设节约型社会,是中央立足我国国情、着眼世界发展大势作出的战略决策。文章提出,随着我国经济的高速发展,生态环境问题也日益突出。加大科技创新活动,着力推广新技术、新工艺、新设备和新材料,加快推进经济结构调整,大力发展循环经济,合理借鉴国外先进经验,是我们必须认真思考的问题。

The 5th Plenary Session of the 16th Communist Party of China Central Committee will put forward speeding the construction of resource-saving society. The natural resources are the foundation that the mankind relies on for existence with development, and is the material guarantee that the economic society can keep on a development. Accelerating the construction of economical society is a strategy made by the central government based on the current situation of our country and the developing tendency of the world. With the rapid economic development, the ecological environment problem increases. We must think about these issues, such as conducting scientific innovation, spreading new technology, new equipment and new material, promoting the adjustment of economic structure, and learning from the foreign experience.
