南阳府衙现存的油饰彩画,因历史和人为原因损坏比较大,且有继续遭受损害、进而危害建筑构件的可能。我们通过深入勘察,确切了解府衙油饰彩画现状,对其进行特征分析。并依据现存油饰彩画对木构的保护和装饰作用现状,分别采取不同的技术措施,以通过科学的方案设计使古建筑祛病延年,使昔日的油饰彩画再次获得新生。
