西安目前的城市扩张模式是周边式扩展.周边式扩展在城市以集聚功能为主的时期有其存在的客观性和合理性,但是,随着城市的快速发展,出现了一系列问题.因此,卫星城的建设被提上议程.阐述了西安卫星城的发展现状,指出其存在的问题,并对其发展战略进行了探讨.

The present city expand mode of Xi＇an is the peripheral type. The peripheral expanding type is objective and reasonable during the conglomeration period, but it will bring some problems when the city develops to certain extent. Thus the construction of the satellite city is brought into schedule. The development situation of Xi＇an satellite city is expatiated, the existing problems are pointed out, and development strategy of the satellite city is discussed.
