By analyzing the significance and content of equitable principle in the delimitation of continental shelf, this article puts forward that to reach an equitable result in the Continental Shelf Delimitation in East China Sea, it is necessary to consider and weigh up mainly the role and effect of circumstances such as the natural prolongation and the Okinawa Trough, the midline pinciple,proportion principle and Diao yu islands.
