温庭筠词在晚唐五代首先主要是以歌妓传唱方式进行传播的,为便于记诵出现了抄本形式的词集文本,这对温庭筠词的传播起到了重要的作用。尤其是为适应歌妓的歌唱出现的歌本《花间集》,作为温词在后世传播中的主要媒介,为温词的持续性或永久性传世提供了根本保证,完成了从口头传播到书面传播的转变。在这种转变流传中,还可能对南唐词产生了直接间接的影响。

The diffusion of Wen Tingjun＇ Ci poetry in the later Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties owed much to the singsong girls. For easy recitation, there appeared handwritten copies of Wen Tingjun＇ Ci poetry, which played a key role in its popularization. The songbook of his Ci collection for the singsong girls has been the main means of its sustainable or permanent popularization, which indi- cates the transition from oral inheritance to written inheritance and might have exerted direct or indirect impacts on Nantang Ci poetry.
