农业商品化是市场经济的重要组成部分,是推动市场经济向更高层次发展的前提和基础。但是,农业商品化在推动生产力发展、增加社会财富积累的同时,却可能会造成农民的贫困、自然灾害和饥荒的发生以及社会救济与慈善公益事业的繁荣。虽然农业商品化的这些结果有其阶段性、社会制度等条件的限制和约束,但是自然灾害、饥荒及其预防和救治则可能是由农业商品化问题所引发并且伴随人类社会始终的社会问题。因此,这些都促发我们对当前的农业发展模式进行反思。

However, when promoting the development of productivity and adding the social fortunes, the agricultural merchandisation may result in peasant poverty, natural disasters, famines, and the prosperity of charity.
