The deformation measurement is an important part of mine tailings dam monitoring. The common methods to monitor the displacement of mine tailings dam are introduced. The precision demand of mine tailings dam displacement monitoring is discussed. The basic ideas to develop the monitoring data management system of mine tailings dam and the functions of the data management system are expatiated.
