喜马拉雅山脉和念青唐古拉山脉似两条巨龙由西向东平行伸展，在东部与横断山脉对接，形成群山环绕之势，位于西藏自治区东南部的林芝地区就静卧在这三大山脉的怀抱之中。
Himalayan Mountain and Nyenchen Tanglha Mountain spread from the west to the east like two huge dragons, and connect with Transversal Mountain in the east, which form a circle of group mountains. And Nyingchi, located in the southeast of Tibet, lays in the middle of these three mountains.
