深入分析工程师道德理性的内涵,比较分析中外工程师道德不同发展阶段下的"经济"与"道德"难题,剖析各自的特点,并在结合实际和案例的基础上,论证工程师道德理性的超越性、开放性。

This paper deeply inquired into the connotation of engineers＇ moral rationality. Human practical rationality （epistemic rationality） is a basic part of engineers＇ moral rationality, while objective rationality （instrumental rationality） an important part. Engineers＇ moral rationality, as an extending rationality, is a balance of these two parts of rationality,which brings deep paradox to engineers. A famous dilemma of economic rationality and moral rationality, ＂ Smith Paradox＂ , which diffuses ethics and economics, also exists in engineering ethics. Engineers work on the frontier of economy and science - technology, but the two levels of thinking make them face more problems. The economy and moral dilemma has its own characters in engineering ethics. So this paper analyzes these characters between China and America by case studies, and then makes an argument about the transcendence of engineers＇ moral rationality.
