The principle of microcomputer-based automatic detecting devicee is expounded in this paper, The device is usedto do on=line or off-line detection on the operating set BValue and ooperating time. When the measured set valueexceeds±10% of the set value of the measured protective ralay, the device can send and alarm signal, The opera-tional state of Protective relay can be periodically detected automatically or manually so to improve the reliabili-ty of teh relay.
