Cultural Poetics of New Historicism:Western Traditions and Chinese Interpretations——An Interview with Prof.Jürgen Pieters,Ghent University,Belgium

针对当下中国学界逐渐升温的历史批评趣味,本文就新历史主义文化诗学这个在上个世纪80年代西方学界历史转向思潮的理论产物,与尤根.皮埃特斯先生展开深入和广泛的经验交流和理论探讨,采用学术访谈形式呈现新历史主义批评在西方知识界的理论发展轨迹,为新历史主义或文化诗学在中国学界的本土理论建构提供某些不同寻常的经验借鉴作用和批评反思契机。

Prof. Jürgen Pieters, currently Professor in the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy, Ghent University of Belgium, is one of the outstanding European scholars working in the theoretical field of culture and history. Prof. Pieters is pioneering in his research findings of European classic, studies, historical criticism and cultural theories; especially in his important books on new historicism and cultural poetics. With the growing interests of Chinese scholars in historical and cultural texts, Prof. Jiirgen Pieters also attached great attention in China, so this paper will focus on the Cultural Poetics of new historicism, the theoretical products of the critical Return to History of western academia in 1980s. Adopting the form of an interview, it intends to introduce Prof. Pieters and his studies in the extensive discussion about history and culture, briefly presents the theoretical trajectory of new historicism in the knowledge genealogy of western culture, and in this particular way provides some reference and as well as a reflective opportunity for the interpretations of New Historicism and the studies of cultural poetics in China.
