构建社会主义和谐社会是党的十六大到十六届六中全会期间逐步提出和完善的一个崭新命题,有着极为丰富的内涵,对我国现阶段的发展具有极为重要的意义,具体表现在以下几个方面:(1)是我国现阶段经济社会发展的内在要求;(2)是科学发展观的必然要求;(3)是巩固党的执政地位的迫切需要。

Building a socialist harmonious society is a brand - new proposition, which is proposed and gradually improved from the 16th National Party Congress to the Third and the Fourth Plenum of the 16th CPC Central Committee. It is rich in its connotation, and it has its significant meanings to the development of Chinese current stage and concretely represents the following aspects ： （ 1 ） it is an inherent requirement of Chinese current economic and social development; （2） it is the inevitable requirement of the scientific development concept; （3） it is the urgent need for consolidating the Party＇s ruling status.
