Application of Schema Theory in English Listening Teaching

图式作为一种心理组织,是储存在大脑中的背景知识,在听力理解中起着重要作用。阐述了图式和图式理论的功能和听力理解的实质,尝试把图式理论引用到英语听力教学中来,以期激发学生学习听力的兴趣,发展他们的听力理解能力。

Schema as a kind of background knowledge stored in human mind plays an important role in listening comprehension. This paper illustrates the functions of schema and schema theory and the essence of listening comprehension and discusses the application of schema theory in listening comprehension course in order to interest the students in listening learning and develop their listening comprehension ability.
