中国传统建筑中的吉祥文化多以图案的形式呈现出来,成为中国传统装饰艺术中的重要部分。它装点着中国传统建筑,是传统建筑中璀璨的珠宝,也是民族文化的优秀遗产。吉祥图案以其深长的意味而具有独特的艺术表现力。从吉祥观念的产生、吉祥图案的类别及其吉祥图案的特征进行了阐述。

The propitious culture in the traditional architectural ornaments of China is mostly piesented by the form of patterns, and is one important part of the Chinese traditional decorative arts. Having beautified the Chinese traditional architectures, it is both the radiant jewelry in the traditional construction, and the outstanding inheritance of the national culture. The propitious patterns design is of the unique artistic expressive force by its profound meaning. In this paper the production of the propitious idea, design category of the propitious patterns, and the characteristics of the propitious patterns are described and studied in detail.
