This paper is based on teaching practice of speaking English class to set forth so collaborative learning and assessment in speaking English. It explains that collaborative learning me methods of and assessment methods are better to develop the communication ability of the students and make up the knowledge lack of themselves. They are beneficial to give full play to the students＇ initiative and creativity of using the language. The best advantage is that collaborative activities promote the interactive effect between the teacher and the students and get twice the result with half the effort in speaking English teaching.
