How to foster literary competence in English majors through the teaching of EFL reading

摘要英语专业阅读课教学对提高学生的阅读理解能力和思维能力至关重要。阅读课教学的有效与否将影响学生专业知识课尤其是文学课的学习以及他们今后的学术研究能力。本文通过对“文学能力”这一概念的阐释，讨论如何通过阅读课教学培养学生的文学能力。 The teaching of EFL reading for English majors is essential for improving their comprehension and thinking ability. Effective reading courses are beneficial to students＇ disciplinary studies, especially the study of literature, and their academic ability in general. Bringing in the concept of ＂literary competence＂, this paper discusses how to foster literary competence in students through the teaching of EFL reading.
