一个完整的一致主义确证论需要依靠它所指定的"一致"关系来界定。这自然就转向了一个倍受关注的问题;究竟什么是"一致"。对这个问题西方知识论者新近的回答是把一致理解为解释的一致,解释的一致主义确证论就产生了,这种理论对知识确证问题作出了新的解答。

Coherence theory of justification is to be defined by the relationship of ＂coherence＂ it has appointed. And this naturally boils down to a remarkable question： what does it mean by ＂coherence＂？ Recently, Western epistemologist regards coherence as coherence of Implication, which brings about Explanatory Coherence theory of justification. It gives a new solution to problem of epistemic justification.
