Ethical Problems of Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

鼻内镜外科医生应该具备扎实的鼻科学解剖知识,进行正规的专业培训,把治愈疾病作为医疗目的,树立正确的医德信念,严格遵守相关伦理原则,并且建立严格的随访制度,做好患者的心理工作,使患者能密切配合和主动接受随访治疗,以提高鼻内镜的安全性和治疗效果。

Based on relative discussions on successful cases of functional endoscopic sinus surgery, authors of this article come up with several qualification requirements for relevant doctors. Firstly, the doctors should be familiar with the nasal anatomic structures and have regular professional training. Secondly, curing patients should be built up as medical purpose, decent faith in medical ethics should also be established among doctors, and their clinical practice should be conducted seriously abiding by relevant ethical principles. Thirdly, follow- ups should be strictly applied, and psychological treatment is necessary for patients after functional endoscopic sinus surgery so that patients will be content to follow doctor′s advices and accept follow -ups willingly. With all the above requirements, safety and treatment outcome of functional endoscopic sinus surgery will be promoted in clinical practice.
