The Chinese traditional agriculture has attained brilliant achievements in the espects of intensive cultivation, fertility perservation, diversified economy, ecological balance and so on, and these achievements have attracted world wide attention. It is of much realistc signfieane to approach the historical inheritance of the Chinese traditional thought on agronomy and its enlightment to modern agricahure. The Chinese traditional mentality of oneness of heaven, earch and man and that of intensive cultivation have constitated the extremely valvable theoretical basis and teclmicat system of the Chinese traditional thought on a gronomy. The organically anific outlook on nature embodied in the theory of heaven-earth-man oneness, emphasizing the harmonization between man and nature, and the unification of bringing in play people＇s subjective initiatives with making much of objective laws as well, agrees the requireent of the sustained agricahural development. Today, when the Chinese population is continuously increasing and hataral resourses such as land, water and energy are ranning out day by day, the fine traditions of intensive management and initensive cultivation in the Chinese traditional thought on agronomy should be inherited and carried forward; The organic combination of modern agricultural technologies with traditional agricultural technologies promoted; between economic benefit, ecological benefit and social benefit should be realized.
