To investigate the effect of low-sodium-salt on expression of genes related to insulin signaling pathway among the patients with obesity and high blood pressure, and to set up a local gene network model.Three patients with obesity and high blood pressure were chosen. The peripheral blood taken before and after consuming low-sodium salt, were used to analyze the differences of the gene expression by Oligo Insulin Signaling Pathway SuperAarray, six chips in total.Among the 144 genes, there were 26 differentially expressed, with 6 genes up-regulated and 22 genes down-regulated.Low-sodium salt consumption may affect activities of focal adhesion and PI3K pathway, providing an initial model of local gene network that describes how low-sodium salt intake moderates the level of insulin resistance and improves body status of obesity/hypertension people.
