Zeolite has a wide application prospect in water treatment by reason of the well properties of selective adsorption and ion exchange for its peculiar cage structure. Based on the introduction of the form and structure characteristics of zeolite, the applied research in water treatment and its mechanism of adsorbing the contamination in water, and the influence factors were described. The application prospect in water treatment was also expected.
