The perfect combination of tradition and modern times——on Tjibaou Cultural Center

皮阿诺设计的特吉巴欧文化中心,设计者通过考察当地的历史文脉,挖掘、利用当地的传统建筑样式,在此基础上进行再创造,用现代技术表达传统意象,设计出极具象征性的建筑作品。同时,采用一系列的通风等高技术手段,达到与自然生态的平衡,创造出集传统性和生态性于一体的建筑。如何用现代技术手段来表现传统建筑,这个作品会给人以有益的启迪。

Renzo Piano, who designed Tjibaou Culture Center,paid attention to the cultural tradition and made a full use of the local resources. He designed the very symbolized work, combined the architecture with the nature in ecological balance using modem high-tech methods, such as the system of passive venti- lation. The center inherited the features of the traditional inhabitation with the architectural image. This work will inspire a new thought into us about representing the traditional image which uses modem methods.
