摘要
随着电脑与因特网的迅速普及,网络语言正彰显出日益强大的生命力和影响力。词典中是否应当收录网络用语,一直受到专家学者们的广泛争议。《英汉大词典》(第二版)将网络用语收录其中,打破了传统的词典编纂原则,并预示词典编纂将朝着更加实用,更加包容的方向发展。新版《英汉大词典》的编译特色体现在描写性、规范性及用户友好原则三个主要方面。
With the popularization of computer and internet, network language has shown more and more vitality and influence on human life. It is all along a controversy that whether the network language should be included in dictionaries. The collection of network language in the latest published English-Chinese Dictionary （2nd edition） breaks through the traditional compiling norm, and indicates a much practical and comprehensive development of dictionary in future. The compiling characteristics of this dictionary will be embodied in three main aspects： descriptivism, prescriptivism and ＇user-friendly＇ principle.
