从张谷若译《还乡》看译者的主体性:被操纵的译者和操纵的译者

The Manipulated and the Manipulating:On Translator's Subjectivity Based on The Return of the Native Translated by Zhang Gu-ruo

本文以张谷若对《还乡》的翻译为个案,运用操纵学派重要代表人物勒菲弗尔的重写理论,试从历史和文化的角度探索译者在特定社会历史文化大背景下的译材选择和翻译策略选择,说明译者在翻译活动中的被动性和主动性,提出应该充分肯定译者在翻译中的主体性。

With the translation of The Return of the Native by Zhang Gu -ruo as the case, this dissertation takes a cultural approach to explore the role of translator in the selection of translated text and translation strategies based on the rewriting theory set forth by Andre Lefevere, the major representative of the manipulation theory. It hypothesizes that the translator is not only passively but actively exerting manipulation in the process of translation and proposes a full justice to the translator＇ s subjectivity.
