把党的最终目标和当前任务有机地结合起来,正确处理最高纲领同阶段性纲领的辩证统一关系,并在党的路线、党的基本方针和基本政策上正确体现这种辩证统一关系,是我们面临的一个极为重要的理论和实践问题。我们既反对空谈远大的目标,又反对所谓的共产主义"渺茫论",正确把握党的路线和政策的界限,防止和反对"左"的或右的错误倾向,是体现最高纲领和阶段性纲领辩证统一关系的重要保证。党在不同历史阶段的基本路线和基本政策,既立足于党在现阶段的任务,又为向更高阶段发展创造条件,表现了最高纲领和最低纲领这二者的一致性。通过我们的党的路线、政策和行动,一步一步地去实践和实现我们的崇高理想。党在这方面积累了丰富的经验,是值得我们认真研究和继承的。

The very important theoretical and practical issue at present is to unite the ultimate goal of the party with the present task, to handle in correct ways the relation of dialectical unity between the ultimate program and the phased guideline, and to implement this relation in the course, basic lines and policies of the party. Both empty talks of the great aim and uncertainty of communism should be rejected. The important guarantee of the dialectical unity of the ultimate program and the phased guideline of the party is to understand correctly the limit of the guide- line and policy of the party, to prevent and fight against leftist and rightist tendencies. The basic lines and policies of the party at different historic periods have been based on the task of the time, and have served as the foundation for further development, which reveal the unity of the ultimate goal and the minimalism. Our goals should be realized step by step with the guidance of the lines, policies and actions of the party. The party has accumulated rich experiences in this regard, which are worthy of study and application at present.
