忍痛含垢 终还清白——纪念宋哲元将军逝世67周年

Humiliation cleared later than never——In commemoration of the 67th anniversary of the death of General Song Zheyuan

1935年的华北形势危险万分,在日本的疯狂进逼下,蒋介石非常清楚,冀察两省和平津二市是保不住的,早晚要丢失的。现在唯一可行的办法是利用宋哲元手中掌握的二十九军实力对日实行敷衍、缓冲,尽可能拖住日本伪化华北的步伐。宋要想守住华北,必须按照蒋介石的要求对日方"忍辱负重,委曲求全"。宋代蒋受过两年之久,直到平津丢失,蒋亲自出面为其承担责任,宋忍痛含诟,委曲真相才大白于天下,终获国人的谅解。

It is at the critical moment of 1935 in the North China, Chiang Kai-shek cannot hold Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Chahar against the Japanese invasion. But General Song Zheyuan is put to the place with his 29th corps to protect the northern regions of China. It is a humiliation to General Song. When the North China is lost, and Chiang Kai-shek offers to speak for Song, his humiliation is cleared.
