摘要
五四新文学运动历来被人们解读成新文学"自由"与"解放"的时代象征,然而仅就小说创作的艺术想象力而言,其实它不是走向了"自由"或"解放",而是走向"规范"与"束缚"。中国传统小说那种超越现实生活真实、超越科学逻辑思维的自由想象力受到了全面排弃,而被新文学作家所极力推崇的西方现代文学,其非理性的艺术想象也在中国失去了被理解和被接受的合理土壤。小说创作的艺术想象力被严格束缚在现实逻辑、科学常识和社会意识之下,最终又影响到了五四新小说对于生活本质的深度把握和对艺术审美的执著追求。
The new literature of May 4th Movement has long been considered as the symbol of “freedom”and “liberation” . However, in the case of imagination reflected in literature,it symbolizes a sense of literary norm and bondage instead of “freedom” and “liberation” . Traditional novel is disparaged due to its free imagination in depicting surreal truth and ultrascientific logic. The non-rational imagination of western modernist school has also lost the foundation understood by people .Correspondingly, imagination in novel is limited strictly to the reality truth, scientific knowledge and reality awareness, which then ultimately put serious influence on the new literature of May 4th Movement in pursuing essence of life and aesthetic standard.
