How to build a harmonious socialist society against the background of market economy and multipluralism of profit concepts is a realistic but new social task to the Chinese. The article analyzes and discusses the several pairs of contradictions related to harmonious society in response to the proposing of ＂harmonious society＂ and ＂building up a harmonious socialist society＂, offering some new trains of thoughts to make viewpoints clear and straighten out the understanding of the theory.
