To improve the building of socialist new countryside and speed up agricultural informatiouization, the article studies the significance of agricultural informationization on the economic construction of the new countryside, its content the problems that should be paid attention to. It believes that it is the major approach to push forward agricultural informafionizafion by establishing and perfecting rural information network through the government investment, constructing the management system of agricultural informatiouization, by innovating information service mode, and by promoting the application of agricultural information technology. During the process of agricultural informatiouizafion, the popularization and education on farmers should be strengthened, the government＇ s attention should be increased, the infrastructure of agricultural informationization should be strengthened, and the problem of cultivating talents should also be paid attention to.
