On Cultural Role of Gustation Words Between Chinese and English

汉英两种语言分属两大语系,为中华民族和欧美诸民族所使用,在明显的差异性中存在着逻辑的同一,而逻辑的同一又无法掩盖其文化上的差异。文章从味觉词入手,在词义指称的客观同一性的基础上,分析它们之间不同的文化内涵,旨在为汉英比较语言学的研究提供若干思路与实例。

Used by Chinese people and Western people respectively, Chinese and English belong to different language families. There exist cultural differences but logical likeness between them. This eassy aims to offer some approaches and examples for comparative linguistics research by analyzing different cultural connotations between Chinese gustation words and English ones on basis of their objective unification of semantic indication.
