林纾《黑奴吁天录》翻译方法的诗学阐释

安德烈.勒菲弗尔认为诗学是影响翻译的一个重要因素。为了使译入语读者易于接受外国文学作品,译者常常需要对原文作些改动,以使译文符合译入语的诗学要求。作为个案研究对象,对照《黑奴吁天录》原著和林纾译本中运用增补、省略、缩写和改写等译法,探讨译文如何符合该时代的主流诗学精神。

Andre Lefevere thinks poetics have an impact on translating. Translators often have to adapt a foreign work of literature to the poetics of that receiving culture to make it acceptable to the receiving culture. This explains why Lin Shu adopted translating methods such as addition, deletion,abridgment and adaptation in his Chinese translation of Uncle Tom＇s Cabin.
